This blog is my journey with God. I was a Christian since I was a little girl of 10 or so. Later in life, I became confused, not sure exactly why, but found myself involved with Islam. In 1998, I started studying and practicing Islam. In 1999, I officially converted to Islam. After 9/11/2001, I began having serious doubts about this religion being the "True Religion of God". I had my ups and downs with the beliefs and traditions of Islam for the next several years. I finally said enough is enough. I cannot accept that this violence and hatred is from a loving God. I began to have serious doubts about Islam being from God at all. I stopped the 5 daily prayers, I stopped wearing hijab, stopped going to the mosque, stopped traditions and beliefs. In July, 2007, I started thinking that if Islam is a big fat lie, then what was Christianity? I started reading the Bible and praying in English so that I could understand what I was praying. I went to a local Baptist church, began studying hard from the Bible, and most importantly, I began trusting God. This blog is my journey from that point. It has been a tremendous struggle, but with the help of Him, I know that I will be ok. He is my rock and my fortress, and in Him, I put all my trust.
